So who are we anyway? Trust me, we ask ourselves this question every day. Are we just wind up automatons, or truly living, conscious beings? Are we truly free, or are we just slaves to our own actions? Are we glorified monkeys, simple humans, reflections of the gods image, or maybe god itself? Do the self, reality, universe, or gods, truly exist? What are the real questions, and what are the true answers? We are sorry to say that we do not have the answers to the questions, and any answers we may think we have found have only brought us more questions. We also suggest that if anyone tells you they have all the answers to the riddles of reality, kick them in the junk and tell them that they forgot the question! So who is Screaming Shiva besides a few small specks of dust, trapped on a much larger speck of dust we like to call earth? That about sums it up doesn't it? Well, not exactly. We may be specks of dust, machines, automatons, unconscious, unintelligent, dysfunctional, fearful, and self-destructive creations indeed, but it just might be possible to reprogram the machine entirely. Screaming Shiva is a band dedicated to the reprogramming of the self, an experiment in Conscious Evolution through music. We write our music using psychological, alchemical, and spiritual metaphor in order to express our own questions and possible theories. We have taken a vow to look into the seat of the self, swim the depths of our so-called consciousness, and bring about an effective change in the perception of our own reality. Our hope in this experiment is that you listen to the music, find a seed of truth in it, and start asking your self the questions that really matter.
